News From All Over
Merry Christmas everyone (if it's Christmas and you're reading this)
Santa being tracked by Norad
As of now (11:06 PM) he hasn't made it to Houston, or anywhere in California. He has, however, made it to Hartford, Connecticut, which is close enough to Amherst. More reasons I'm mad at Massachusetts (not really).
Bush is an Indian-Giver
But with good reason. He took back a pardon. Why? Because of the appearance of impropriety. It basically looks like his dad bought the pardon. And I applaud the decision by Bush. But man, it would suck to be Isaac Toussie. "Mr. Toussie, you've been pardoned." "WOHOOOO." [Twenty four hours later] "Yeah, Mr. Toussie, we need to talk....."
Dwayne Wade is AWESOME
He bought a woman a house after her old one burned down. Good story and it's awesome that it's getting main-stream media play. Enough said? I think so.
D-Bag Bankrupted Charity
I know it's hard to read about people losing money, but it's even worse when charities get bilked. Especially by douchebags like Bernard Madoff. And I hate how they call him the 'Wall Street Baron." Call him what he is. The Wall Street Douchebag.

A $10,000 Snow Angel
I hate the Patriots. Well mostly Tom "Dreamboat" Brady, Captain Douchebag Bill Belichick (side-note, check out Bill's Wikiality article, funny stuff), and their jackass fans that exist in New England and perpetually use the words "Dynasty", add "R" where "R" doesn't belong and turn words that end in "R" in to an "ahhh" sound. But I digress. Despite my disdain for the Patriots, I keep up with sports. And I also understand when douchebaggery occurs. Wes Welker caught a TD this past weekend during the snowbowl, aka The Patriots vs. The Cardinals. Then he made a snow angel. Pretty awesome stuff.
Well, come to find out today he was fined $10,000 for this "celebration." Look, I hate the Patriots, but come on. That was a pretty awesome celebration. In conclusion, I still hate the Patriots and Roger Goddell is a douchebag / dictator.

ESPN: Suckage Continues
Lets get this straight, I still watch ESPN, but I have witnessed its decline over the years.
This happened last night.
Wow. Lebron James blocked Yao Ming. And guess what? It made Sportscenter's top 10 plays at #2.
But mind you, Lebron's NBA player profile lists him at 6'8". Yao Ming's player profile puts him at 7'6". So, if all things were equal, Lebron would have to jump 10" higher if both players had an equal vertical (they do not). Yao jumps about 6" off the ground. Lebron likely has a vertical somewhere between 30-40" (just guessing).
But wait, do you remember this???
NATE ROBINSON BLOCKED YAO! Yes. Little Nate the Great blocked Yao Ming. Nate's NBA player profile lists him at 5'9". Yes. FIVE-FOOT-NINE INCHES. So that means, all things being equal, Nate had to jump TWENTY-ONE INCHES higher than Yao in order to block them (again, they clearly don't have an equal vertical). ESPN sucks. Another Reason It Sucks Coming Home
I sign my own death certificate basically everytime I step foot in this city. Something in the air (my sis thinks it's mold) gets in my respiratory system and puts me near death. It happens annually. So that's a major downside to coming home since coming home will generally involve me laying in bed coughing, sneezing, and blowing my nose for days on end. And it also makes me relatively anti-social as well. Not good times. Not at all.
Making a Comeback (that I don't care about)
I was at a coffee shop the other day, when low-and-behold, they started playing Hootie and the Blowfish's "I Only Wanna Be With You"
Immediately, my gchat status messaged changed, making fun of the coffee shop and Hootie and the Blowfish. Apparently, people still like Hootie, because I got a ton of messages from people voicing their support for Hootie and asking me why I didnt like them. I guess I didn't like them because they were crappy adult contemporary music 14 years ago (in my humble opinion) and the song never got any better to me. Not much for the hype train, so I just wasn't feeling it back then, nor am I feeling it now.
So this post is for you, the people. Hootie's making a comeback next year. Of course since I don't care much about them, you can read the article yourself, while I go back to laying in bed and devising the next post.
