Snakes...Why Did It Have to be Snakes?

I'm the Asian Indiana Jones. When I was a kid, I made my mom pray at night with me. Amongst a list that included God's prevention of robbers and fires, snakes under my bed were very high on the list. I hate those things.

Well, remind me not to go to TGI Fridays anytime soon. Not only is that spiky blonde haired obnoxious guy from Top Chef their spokesperson, the voice over in the commercial is annoying. And now this:
The US restaurant chain T.G.I. Friday's has asked the New York State Police to open a criminal investigation into suspected product tampering after a severed snake head was found among vegetables.

As part of the investigation, the head was sent to an independent laboratory for testing, and the lab said the snake's head was never cooked.

It has been concluded that the head was placed in the food at some point after the cooking process, the company said.

Best believe I would have freaked out and thrown some type of temper tantrum if this had happened. And I'd probably start calling my mom and asking her to pray that snakes weren't under my bed.

The Rocket Is in Space. Or the Ocean

So this is a bit strange. North Korea launched their rocket. They claim it's in space. The U.S. claims it's in the Pacific Ocean.
Pyongyang claims it launched an experimental communications satellite into orbit Sunday and that it's transmitting data and patriotic songs. U.S. and South Korean officials claim the entire rocket, including whatever payload it was carrying, ended up in the ocean.
Yes, you read that correctly. North Korea claims the rocket was successful and the satellite is in space transmitting data and patriotic songs. Seems like they went a long way to play some music. Haven't they heard of Sirius Satellite Radio or XM? Or even Pandora? I suppose they probably don't have a "North Korea Patriot Music Station."

More importantly, shouldn't it be pretty easy to verify if the rocket went into space or if it went into the ocean? I mean, it's a rocket for goodness' sake. It's not like North Korea used a slingshot to launch a few rocks or something and now no one knows what happened to the rocks....

I Got This In an E-Card

Very disturbing. Almost second-hand embarrassment-esque. Check @1:36 for "Stop, Cookie time"
