There Goes Your Liver

I need to get back in shape. Finals (and most of this semester) has been filled with eating crap because it's quick. I miss cooking at home.

So the plan is to get in shape, get my diet in order and work out 5-6 days a week if possible. Shed some pounds and feel better.

Well I won't be taking Hydroxycut.

Government health officials warned dieters and body builders Friday to immediately stop using Hydroxycut, a widely sold supplement linked to cases of serious liver damage and at least one death.

Other patients experienced symptoms ranging from jaundice, or yellowing of the skin, to liver failure. One received a transplant and another was placed on a list to await a new liver.

Well, glad I stopped using that stuff from a few years back. I didn't really notice any difference as it was, but then again, I didn't exercise enough and I kind of gave up on it.

What's the worst part?
The teenager died in 2007, and the death was reported to the FDA this March.

Ummm, is it me or is it May. May 2009. Hmmm. Maybe we should have learned about this sooner. I'm just saying.... Anyways, Hydroxycut, have fun going out of business. And getting sued.

Ummmm....There Are a lot of Things That Could Be Said About This

First off, it's weird that the news is even covering this.

Second, why did they only interview black people.

Third, why are people so crazy about getting chicken. I mean, it's a good deal, but not the end of the world if it ran out.

Fourth, the guy says "I've been waiting for this day for a while." Really? Really?!?!?!?!?!

Fifth, where's Dave Chappelle with a good joke when you need him?

Props to Julio for finding this gem.

A Conversation with a Panda

" I carried around a 'Christmas Moose' dude. In public. And I claimed he was a moose. And a motivator....did you not see something wrong with that?"

me talking to Laura about being delusional and weird during finals.

Wash Your Hands, It's Here

So swine flu is now in Texas. Fantastic. And it's in Houston. I was hoping San Antonio or El Paso would be on the cutting edge of this disease. But alas, the first American death came in Houston.

In Washington, Obama said he wanted to extend "my thoughts and prayers" to the family of a nearly two-year-old Mexican boy who died in Houston, the first confirmed U.S. fatality among more than five dozen infections. Health officials in Texas said the child had traveled with his family from Mexico, to Brownsville on April 4 and was brought to Houston after becoming ill. He died Monday night.
Great....

My condolences to the family. My prayers are with you guys.

For the rest of us....wash your dirty hands. Unless you're the girl who put the sign outside of my door in the library yesterday. You can go make out with a pig for all I care.

The Doves - Pounding

I was a little disappointed when I found out their music was used for the OC, but I got over it. Sort of.

P-I-G: Let's Hoop

Obama had the UConn women's team to the White House. You know the one that went undefeated, won the championship and never won a single game by less than double digits. Yeah that team.
Moments after congratulating the University of Connecticut's women’s team for winning the national championship, in front of the South Portico of the White House, President Obama hustled the team over to the outdoor half-court, away from reporters and cameras. The president prevailed in a brief, impromptu game of P-I-G with a few of the players.

“His shot’s a little unorthodox, but it goes in,” UConn Coach Geno Auriemma said. “He’s got a little bit of that swagger.”
In summation, Obama is dope.

thanks Dime

Ambulance LTD - Stay Where You Are

They totally remind me of Sea and the Cake. If Sea and the Cake had better vocals.
