Yeah, Dude Got What He Deserved

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-nflplayer-stopped&prov=ap&type=lgns

Step off dude.

Moats handled himself right (Not pulling the "I'm an NFL player"). Powell? Not so much. It's unfortunate for whatever reason this happened. Can't really say for sure that it was racism, cause Zack Thomas said the same thing happened to his wife last year. So maybe Powell is just a crappy cop.

I'd write more, but it's time to go to class.

Kimmel vs. Lebron

the battle of the half court shots maybe?

While I Was Sleeping

I'm just going to refer to the time from today till the beginning of the year as a constant mental nap. Distracted by this, occupied by that, a lot of things got by me. Plus I started a job with weird blocks on the internet (I can get on facebook or myspace if I chose - I don't - but I can't access gmail or yahoo). So needless to say, I'm disconnected with the happenings.

Well apparently, this happened recently (or is going to, I still haven't figured it out).

http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/12855-its-blitz/

Yes. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs dropped (or are dropping, still unclear and too lazy to look) a new album. And the link above has the whole album streaming apparently. I listened to the first track and it's awesome. And if you know my attention span, it doesn't last much longer than about 30 seconds, so for me to sit through a 4:26 song is pretty good.

Needless to say, I must find a way to get this album. Do I go with the itunes or go actually get a copy of it from the store? Or alternative means?

Overload

I've listened to Shine a Light by Wolf Parade about 100 times in the last two days. I'm in danger of playing it out, but whatever. It's a good song.

Ughhh, up too early today.

Dear Coffee,
Please kick in, my grades are counting on it.

love,
me

Wolf Parade - Shine a Light

Awesome

Scared Money Don't Make None

There was Memphis. There was Syracuse. There was Pittsburgh. There were a slew of teams that failed in the tourney. And the end result is that I'm failing at picking brackets this year. The last three have been good showings for me, but alas, this year I give it an epic fail rating. This is why I don't put money on things. Thankfully, it was a very, very small sum.

By the way Jayson, I'll mail you a check. I'm good for it. I think.

Here's What I Was Saying

BACK IN THE GO-GO (the feature heavy song)

I'm Back

Well sort of. It's been a busy last few weeks so I haven't really had
the urge to compose a thoughtful blog. Coupled with my lack of
attentiveness to the news and music and you have a recipe for silence.
So I'm kind of back and I anticipate being at full stength come finals
time.

In the meantime, check out Wale and his song "the feature heavy song"
f bun b and pusha t from the clipse. I'd post a video but I'm mobile
blogging today.

Cheers

Sent via mobile phone.

Second Place Is the First Loser

Those stupid Mossimo shirts were right. Or was it Stussy. Whichever.

Regardless, those were the results of the tournament. Good finish, but not a great finish

Here's some music I've been listening to lately (as if you care):

1) L.E.S. Artistes - Santogold
2) Soma - Smashing Pumpkins
3) Paranoid - Kanye West
4) The entire Spirit If... cd by Kevin Drew
5) the Postal Service
6) Wake for Young Souls; Misfits - Third Eye Blind
7) 93 Til Infinity - Souls of Mischief
8) Bixby Canyon Bridge - Death Cab for Cutie
9) a bunch of mid 90s hip hop
10) various Roots songs.
