This Bill is a Big Deal
Language is a little crude, but it's funny.
Still haven't read the language of the Health Care Bill, and thus I'm not sure of what the overall implications are (let's face it, you have to accept the media's interpretation as being at least somewhat biased and somewhat unreliable).

A Moment Too Late
Today is the week of being behind (not that my whole life hasn't been spent being a little late on trends, appointments, etc.). But it seems to be particularly highlighted today.
Today was the day I read a recent Texas Supreme Court case. Of course yesterday was the day I was questioned (in an interview no less) about recent, interesting Texas Supreme Court decisions. Granted, I stumbled through a semi-reasoned answer, but today's reading would have helped yesterday's questioning.
Today is the day I read Texas case law relating to the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA). Of course Tuesday was the day I judged a moot court tournament dealing with the FAA and Texas law.
Murphy's Law in full effect in my life.

Treme
I cannot express how excited I am for Treme on HBO. David Simon is a genius. And Bunk and Lestor from the Wire are in it? I'm ALL IN.

NOLA is a magical place. Granted, I've only been there twice, but I have very vivid and fond memories. There is a charm and a tremendous sense of pride throughout the city that is unparalleled by anywhere else I've been. And the food is quite amazing.

REKEROY
Tyreke for Rookie of the Year (REKEROY)
Somewhere in this video, I make an appearance, popping a Kings jersey like a lunatic. 15 Seconds of fame. Except it aired on national TV during NBA All-Star Weekend's HORSE competition, the February King's highlight footage, and now this. So it's more like 45 seconds of fame.

Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and prasie your Father in Heaven. [NIV]
A reminder to be more Christ-like; a reminder that I've been called to follow Him. It's hard to walk the path of a believer at times. In fact, I think I'm a pretty poor representation of what a Christian should be. I allow myself to put other things first (law school anyone?). But in the times I have to reflect, I remember that I've been called for a higher purpose. It's just a matter of remembering that in all things that I do.
