Dinosaur Jr, - Over It

I really feel the title.

A Wag of the Finger

I knew this day would come. A day when I'd have to criticize a player that I truly enjoy and root for.

For shame Mr. Manning. Rather than congratulating the other team, Peyton elected to go the route of Lebron, Tom Brady, or Bill Belichick and walk off the field rather than congratulating the Saints on their first Super Bowl victory. I will not apologize for that behavior. I chastised Lebron and I chastized Brady and Belichick for such behavior. You look like a poor sport. Respect the game and go congratulate the other side. They played a better game. All around. Period.

Ughhhh it pains me to write this.

Six TONS of Cocaine

Yes, TONS. This was on the Travel Channel. I haven't watched too much of Anthony Bourdaine, but his show is interesting at times. I came across this on another blog and I was blown away (yuck yuck). The guy in the vid says that amount of drugs is valued at $350 million. Crazy.

I Love Food

These two places made #7 and #2 respectively on the Travel Channel's Chowdown Countdown. I can't disagree that the Salt Lick is really good barbecue (and all you can eat family style) and that Roscoe's, by itself, is almost worth taking a trip to CA for (best fried chicken and best waffle I've ever had - puts Breakfast Klub in Houston to absolute shame).

I watched all 101 places and I was pretty excited. I hope to visit at least three of the places on the list in the next few months (thank you Moot Court). This would include Durgin Park in Boston (#10) a place in Cincinnati that serves Chili on Spaghetti and some 24-hour fried chicken / Southern food place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Hey, I didn't get fat by not eating.

Phoenix Won a Grammy

Okay, so I wasn't exactly "aware" that the Grammy's were on last night. Until I got text messages and saw facebook posts about it. I could really care less about the spectacle that is the Grammys. I don't even know who hosted.

But nevertheless, I tuned back into the news today and apparently Phoenix won a Grammy for "Best Alternative Music Album." Awesome! They were hands down my favorite band of 2009.

Also, to those who were questioning who they were (my roommates), then proceeding to make fun of me cause they were so underground and I was being a music snob, I am validated. Underground bands don't win Grammys. Also, their music was in a Cadillac Commercial and on Entourage. Just because you hadn't heard them, doesn't mean they're underground.

The Big Week

This week I'm flying up to Boston for a moot court competition in Boston. Can't lie, I'm pretty excited. And it's on the school's dime, so we'll be eating very, very well. Also, expect odd Boston-themed posts this week. And also expect me to make fun of the accent every chance I get.

ESPN has a good story on Rae Carruth and his son.
