Tell Me That Racism Isn't Still Alive

Or ignorance at every turn....

this disgusts me.

So Josh Howard didn't want to salute the national anthem.....Well, I don't agree with that either. I think Josh Howard has lost a lot of respect for me. BUT at the same time, those who have interviewed him says he's a very good guy. Obviously he's misunderstood and he should think twice before he opens his mouth again.....especially when there is a camera phone out.

And then the floodgates open. And then the racial slurs start pouring out. And with it, all of the ignorance and hate that travels alongside.

Comment:
JOSH HOWARD IS NOTHING BUT A DUMB COON NIGGER. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TEACH HIS MONKEY ASS SOME DAM RESPECT FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM

And that's not the only bad email that Mark Cuban, owner of the Mavericks, received. There's well over a dozen by my count. In short, it's sad that we are still running in place. That we are still so ignorant as a society. Yes, what Josh Howard did was disrespectful on a number of levels, but does this make it right to hurl racial slurs because of it? Really, it's ignorance fighting ignorance. And when people send in emails claiming that Howard should be thankful for America, the land of opportunities.....that he should "go to China since they have free speech....not" doesn't that really contradict itself? He didn't salute during the national anthem....well newsflash, neither do Jehovah's Witnesses. There's a deeper meaning behind the reasoning, and although I don't believe in it, nor do I agree with it, we, as Americans are free to do whatever we please so long as it doesn't violate the law.

I'm so disgusted right now, I can't continue to write.....

This is a Heartwarmer

Brooke sent me a link to a news story yesterday.

Tucker, you're the dopest elephant I've seen.

Tucker the elephant is three years old and has been at the Houston Zoo for about a month with this mother, Tess. Sunday, when it was clear the storm threat had passed and employees were removing tree debris from zoo grounds, the elephant keepers invited Tucker to help.

The young elephant readily accepted and accompanied his keepers to two spots in the zoo not far from the McNair Asian Elephant habitat. He picked up some tree debris, helped with some sweeping up and then went back to the barn to share his experience with his mother and the rest of the herd.

Pretty much a baller of an elephant. But I still want to own a helper chimp.

Pandering For Votes Reaches All-Time Low

I can understand lying about some things while running for presidency (or vice-presidency), but please....don't lie about sports.

And certainly don't claim to be a fan of two teams that met in the Superbowl like 3 years ago.

More reasons why Sarah Palin sucks and is completely insincere and is now using football to prove it.

Palin Likes the Seahawks
Palin Likes the Steelers

And in attempting to defend her Jayson remember:
1) you love football
2) you hate liars.

hahahhaha

Surveying the Damage

Took a walk today to see what was going on around me. Clearly, a lot of people around me got it bad. Keep them in your prayers. Thankfully, it seemed that everyone was safe.

Alive and Well: The Aftermath

I'm not getting very good phone reception right now, but everything else is just fine. Power, internet, cable....it's like nothing happened.

But elsewhere people are struggling. I was fortunate to be in an area that didn't get hit too hard. But just down the street? Flooding, fallen trees....just bad news. Please keep everyone in your prayers. Below are the photos of right before the storm and the aftermath of the storm.
