Baron Davis (aka Boom Dizzle, aka B Diddy, aka Chippy, as Brookie calls him) went to Washington D.C. last week to screen the movie he produced to Congress. The movie is titled, "Crips and Bloods: Made in America" and will air on PBS and will be on sale on DVD. It's directed by Stacey Peralta, the guy who was behind Powell Peralta skateboards, and also directed Dog Town and Z-Boys (which I still haven't seen).The film covers the post World War II era in California, and how the rise of neighborhood oranizations eventually turned into the rival Crips and Bloods gangs. Forrest Whitaker provides the narration throughout the film. The PBS page can be found here. I've already set the DVR to record this.
