These two places made #7 and #2 respectively on the Travel Channel's Chowdown Countdown. I can't disagree that the Salt Lick is really good barbecue (and all you can eat family style) and that Roscoe's, by itself, is almost worth taking a trip to CA for (best fried chicken and best waffle I've ever had - puts Breakfast Klub in Houston to absolute shame).I watched all 101 places and I was pretty excited. I hope to visit at least three of the places on the list in the next few months (thank you Moot Court). This would include Durgin Park in Boston (#10) a place in Cincinnati that serves Chili on Spaghetti and some 24-hour fried chicken / Southern food place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Hey, I didn't get fat by not eating.
